We are ecstatic to announce that Tech Skool Education has emerged as the champion in the Coding Category (Software Engineering) at the 2024 STEM Festival in Port Harcourt, Themed: “Safe Cities”.

The STEM Festival, held from July 24th to 28th, 2024, in Port Harcourt, is a world-class event that stands as the premier problem-solving competition in STEM fields. The 2024 festival was marked by innovative solutions across several key areas, including Robotics & AI, Coding/Programming, IoT, Animation/Game Development, Drone Tech, and Blockchain Technology. Focusing on Safety and Security innovations, this year’s festival was themed “Safe Cities.” Participants were tasked with developing groundbreaking solutions that could enhance urban safety and security, making the competition both challenging and impactful.

The Competition

Three learners from our Software Enginnering Faculty— Joy Igwemba, Victory Igwemba, and Oluwasina Adeniran, represented Team Tech Skool at the festival. They competed against tough opposition, showcasing their exceptional coding skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities and the outcome was nothing short of spectacular. Team Tech Skool secured first place with a landslide score of 78 points, leaving the runner-up trailing with just 32 points. This 46-point lead is a testament to the hard work, preparation, and proficiency of our team. Their performance not only secured a win but also highlighted the effectiveness of the education and mentorship they received at Tech Skool.

This remarkable achievement is more than just a win—it’s a powerful validation of the quality and relevance of our tech and entrepreneurship education at Tech Skool, it is a clear indication that the training and mentorship provided at Tech Skool are setting new standards in tech education.
